From the very first chapter, I was completely drawn into the world of Stillwater, Oklahoma a dusty, dangerous town simmering with secrets, corruption, and betrayal. The author captures the atmosphere of the Old West perfectly, blending vivid imagery with the raw emotion of a story rooted in loss and redemption.
The heart of the novel lies with the two sisters, Lynn and Caroline, whose parents’ brutal murder sets everything in motion. Their determination to seek justice, even when faced with danger and deceit, makes them unforgettable protagonists. What I admired most was their strength and humanity they aren’t just seeking revenge, but truth and peace in a world that has taken everything from them.
